Good Afternoon Again!! Today I have swatches of the July Holo Hookup Box which is....drum roll please....Australia themed! This hits straight to the heart for me. Many years ago in college, I studied abroad in Australia and lived in Sydney. It was the best time of my life. If you are able to study abroad or go to Australia, I beg you to do so. I won't get into the specifics of that trip, that will be for another time. So this box comes every month with Cupcake Polish, Different Dimensions and Glisten and Glow. They also have a guest maker each month and this month is Aussie brand, Emily de Molly! Props to the Aussie box having an Aussie polish, I would have been highly disappointed otherwise. I've been wanting to try Emily de Molly for a while and I had to jump on the chance to get this box. Cupcake Polish- Queen AnthiasFirst up is Cupcake Polish- Queen Anthias. This is a gorgeous purple holo (duh). Here's my swatch, this is 2 coats plus top coat. I have a lot of purples from Cupcake so I wasn't over the moon for this one. This is beautiful tho, nice and smooth. I would make sure that you wear a really good base coat, maybe 2 coats. My past experiences with Cupcake Polish and her darker shades tend to stain really bad for me. I also stain pretty easily but just a warning :) Glisten and Glow- Great Barrier Reef Plate CoralsWowza what a long name. This is an orangey red holo. I really liked this one, it might be one of my favorites from Glisten and Glow. I like this off orange color of it. This went on a little sheer on the first coat, but built up beautifully on the second. I didn't have any problems with staining with this polish. Different Dimension- P Sherman 42 Wallaby Way SydneyHere's another really beautiful polish from Different Dimensions. Finding Nemo anyone?! How adorable. The only problem I have with this polish was that the flakies/glitters sank to the bottom and after a while of having it upside down not many floated up. I still managed to get some onto the nail however. The only problem I have with this polish was that the flakies/glitters sank to the bottom and after a while of having it upside down not many floated up. I still managed to get some onto the nail however. This is 2 coats, I think this might be my favorite from Different Dimensions (I was a general huge fan of this month). I didn't notice a strong blue pigment smell with this one which is good :) I feel however this has the potential to stain the nails, so a good base coat or 2 coats with this one too. Emily de Molly- Warm Seas RisingThe star of the show is the Australian brand, Emily de Molly! This is Warm Seas Rising. I'm SOOOOO happy with this polish! It is stunning! I don't want to take this off! It looks just like seaweed, I'm in love. The flakes that are in there are so cool!! I did 2 coats here, but I think with a thicker coat this could be a one coater! I really can't get enough of this. Well that's all 4 polishes this month. Thank you so much for stopping by, happy polishing and I'll see ya in my next post!

Good Afternoon! Today I have swatches and bottleshots of 5 of the 8 Native War Paints- Labyrinth Collection. At first I really wasn't excited, I watched Labyrinth as a child and it terrified me, still to this day I can't watch the movie. So finding out there was an entire collection devoted to the movie, I was 100% skeptical and reluctant. Boy was I wrong. I am positively BLOWN away by this collection. It is so sparkly, it reminds me of the KB Shimmer Birthstone collection. I can't wait to get the last 3 that I haven't picked up yet. All swatches are shown with 2 coats and top coat and are incredibly easy to remove. Flakies might get everywhere on your skin but no scrubbing is involved. Goblin KingHere's Goblin King, a black jelly with purple and blue shimmers and flakies. This polish is fabulous, I've recently really been loving black jelly polishes. The combinations that brands have been creating with them are really sucking me in. This is no exception. I like how black jellies aren't so stark and in your face like a black creme and really makes the shimmers and flakies pop! Chilly Down With The Fire GangNext up is Chilly Down With The Fire Gang, a bright fuschia with red/pink shift to it. It's so hard to capture all it's glory on camera. :( Want some shades now? Sir DidymusI love this blue. Darker blues always worry me for staining, but I didn't have any problems with this one. I don't think this had that terrible blue pigment smell either. Winning! Look at the bottom part of the 2nd bottle shot, isn't that crazy cool!? I mean....holy toledo. Look at the dimension! I Will Be There For YouNext is I Will Be There For You, a beautiful dusty teal with holo and something else... SO PRETTY! Bog Of Eternal StenchThis is my favorite of the bunch, Bog Of Eternal Stench. A golden olive with holo and silver flakies. Stunning. I can't get enough of this. It's definitely one of those colors that I don't think a lot of people will like, but OH. EM. GEE.
I seriously can't wait until my No Buy July is over and then I can get the rest of this collection. This is definitely my favorite from Native War Paints. Thank you so much for stopping by, happy polishing and I will see ya in my next post! Links to products mentioned: www.nativewarpaints.bigcartel.com Well Hello There! Today I have Level Up Lacquer's July Multiplayer Box to share with you. Every month Ash creates 2 polishes, exclusive to the box, 1 Zoya polish and some sort of nail art goodies (plates, charms, foils, etc) for $20 USD. I'm excited for this month because Ash included a Pixie Dust from Zoya....yassss! I hate how Zoya's label is upside down, drives me bananasssss. I like this type of blue to represent an ocean. It's very surreal and relaxing for me. Here's Beachcomber, a glitter topper. I love the color combination going on and the different colors, sizes and shapes, it's very fun and summery. Definitely reminds me of a beach ball. I swear I thought I took a picture of just Seafoam but I couldn't find it on the memory card so I guess I didn't. However, I did manage to capture pictures of Beachcomber over Seafoam. Seafoam is 2 easy coats, the first coat does go on a little bit sheer, but builds up nicely. I'm not incredibly picky about my nail line showing, so depending on if you're picky and your application you MIGHT need 3 coats. Beachcomber was surprisingly very easy to apply. I didn't have to swirl or fish to get out the glitters, a lot of glitter came out on the brush, wasn't too base heavy and didn't have much manipulation at all. Very surprised especially since the glitters are on the larger side. Seafoam removes with no problem, Beachcomber will be a little more difficult to remove because of the large glitters but not as bad as a microglitter. Minimal scrubbing, Ahh now on to the Zoya. I love and missed the Pixie Dusts!! They're textured polishes and are so gorgeous. This is a perfect representation of sand in my opinion because of the shimmers and texture. This is one coat (again depending on your application and preference you MIGHT need 2 coats) and was SUPER easy to apply. It wasn't incredibly thick (especially for a texture polish) however it will be more difficult to remove because of the texture. You'll want a good top coat to smooth it out (or 2 coats) if you don't want the texture, but then don't get a Pixie Dust :) This set also came with some opal iridescent nail foil which I again, forgot to take a picture of. Thanks for stopping by, happy polishing and I'll see ya in my next post :)
Links to product mentioned: www.leveluplacquer.com Today I have Le Polish- A Little Crabby which is the polish for Cancer. Instead of polishes of the month, Allison does polishes for each sign. If you're a member of Le Polish Lovelies on Facebook (if not go run and join now!), sign up with your birthday and you can get the Astro sign polish for FREE!!!! How cool is that?? A lot of other groups give discounts for your birthday month (not that I'm complaining about that!) but I love how she gives this polish for free. It's the little things that make a great company. I love Le Polish and Alison, she's such a lovely person and I will continue to support her. This is a GORGEOUS deep royal purple with pink hexes and a pinky red shimmer running thru it. It went opaque for me in 2 coats. I did notice that you need to work fast with this polish, it dries quickly. It's a bit on the thicker side for formulas, but it's still easy to work with. The polish isn't patchy I swear. I was trying to film me swatching the polish and it was my first time and I was fiddling with my setup too much and because this dries quicker than most polishes it became patchy that way, but it really isn't I promise! I'm just a goober. I didn't notice any staining with this, but I didn't leave it on for terribly long. I'm always worried with dark polishes that it'll stain since I stain SO easily. It's ridiculous actually, if you scroll back far enough on my IG you'll see how a Glam Polish ruined my day with it's staining power. I'm really happy I'm a Cancer and was able to get this polish for free. Thank you so much Allison! :* Thank you for reading, happy polishing and I will see ya in my next post!
Links to products mentioned: www.facebook.com/groups/lepolishlovelies/ www.lepolish.bigcartel.com I've already mentioned how much I love Jess' mystery grab bags. So she came out with mystery holo grab bags! I ordered so fast and was pleasantly surprised. The green one just had my name written all over it. I was thinking for a while what to do for a mani with them. I didn't want to just swatch them, but do something fun. I've had these for a little while (when you have a nail polish problem <and by problem I mean a wonderful addiction> you end up with a pile of polishes that are just waiting to get on your nails) and was thinking of what to do. I got my order from Stick It Nail Vinyls which had spike vinyls in it and wanted to use those and my drip drops. Here's what I came up with: I absolutely love how this came out. The vinyls were so easy to use. I wanted to use the green and figured the silver would be the perfect match. I did 2 coats of 29, topped with top coat and let that dry for 15-20 minutes. You want to make sure your nails are COMPLETELY dry before putting on the vinyls. Otherwise the vinyl will pull up your polish...not that I learned that the hard way or anything... I put the very tip of the spike vinyl right at the tip of my nail to keep it nice and even. Then went 1 thicker coat of 28 and immediately pulled off the vinyl for the crisp lines. Lastly, another coat of top coat (I used Glisten and Glow HK Girl) to seal it in and make it nice and shiny. I like how subtle the mani is but there's that special added punch of the green and the design.
Thanks for sticking around, I hope you enjoyed it, happy polishing and I will see ya in my next post! Links to products mentioned: stickitnailvinyls.storenvy.com/ dripdropnailpaint.storenvy.com/ glistenandglow.bigcartel.com/product/hk-girl-fast-drying-super-shiny-top-coat I can't remember who I saw this from on Instagram, I THINK it might have been Amy, @mcpolish. I'm so sorry that I don't 100% remember. However, in the picture that I saw, they put a flakie polish on their naked nail and happened to stamp over it. I thought it was absolutely stunning. I've been sitting on my NVR Enuff-Opal (an iridescent flakie polish) and couldn't think of how I wanted to use it. Then I remembered seeing that picture and had an A-ha! Moment. I don't remember if the person had used a matte top coat or not, but I decided I wanted to. I absolutely love how this came out! First I used Sweet and Sour Lacquer- Smoothing Sauce base coat, 2 coats of Opal and then I used Love, Angeline-Topped with Love top coat. I wanted to make sure that my base was completely dry before I stamped. I also used Sweet and Sour Lacquer- I Peel Good to protect my skin when stamping. I used Painted Polish- Midnight Mischief, Winstonia Marshmallow Stamper, Bundle Monster Scraper, and my Uber Chic 8-01 plate to stamp. After cleaning up my nails, I used Topped with Love again to seal in my design and prep for the matte top coat. I've had bad luck in the past with smearing if I don't use a fast drying top coat BEFORE matte top coat. If you were wondering why I did a top coat and then the matte top coat. I'm not that crazy I promise. Just a little :) I used Lou It Yourself- Nothing else Matter's matte top coat. I find that with a matte top coat, the flakies really pop as you can see in the bottom picture. Well as much as you can see from the angle I took the picture haha. So I'm sorry this isn't much of a review, I just really love how this came out and wanted to share. Is that ok with everyone? It's ok with me. Thanks for sticking by, happy polishing, and I'll see ya in my next post! She's always liked my photos on Instagram and left very sweet comments and I realized, I've never purchased from her. Unfortunately I'm now on a bit of a budget but I was able to get some really cool things! I purchased a full size polish of Smell Ya Later and a mini set of the Luxury Quad. Monica was so sweet and threw in a free mini and mini loose glitter tub as well! Ok Bianca, let's not get carried away now. Focus focus! I love this! I'm such a sucker for a white crelly. I saw this on her site and went, yep, that's coming home to Momma. I love the neon colors, so bright and fun, and LOTS of shapes in different colors and sizes. The name, Smell Ya Later, cracks me up as well. I love fun names. I know a lot of people are picky about having their nail line showing with polishes, but when it comes to white crellies, I really don't mind having a bit of my nail line showing. I actually really like it. I think it helps make the polish pop. Call me crazy, and I am, but it's just with white crellies. Here is 2 coats and I think the white base is pretty good! I have others that don't even look this good in 3 coats and this is 2. It was very smooth and easy to apply. I got a lot of glitter on my first the first time, I didn't have the bottle upside down either. I didn't have to fish or swirl, I did have to do MINIMAL, and I mean MINIMAL manipulation. I think this is a really fun polish, I'm excited to play with the others and see what else Monica will have coming up in the future. Thanks for stopping by, happy polishing, and I'll see ya in my next post!
Links to products mentioned: shoptsie.com/space-time-travels/products/ Today I have my review of the Nine Zero Valley Isle Collection. It's a collection of 4 polishes where Jess (the creator mastermind) visited Maui for her birthday in May and developed the polishes based off of her trip. 3 are based off the different colors of sand and 1 based off of the water. This I think her first collection that has a lot of shimmer and flakies. I know she's said before in a YouTube video she's personally not big on shimmer, but these are beautiful. The formulas range from a crelly type polish to jelly. Very easy to work with formulas, smooth and easy to apply. Half are 2 coaters and half are 3 coaters. I didn't have any trouble removing them, however I did remove them fairly quickly after I applied and took my pictures. They don't have microglitters so that's a plus for removal. Over all I'm pretty happy with this collection. Let's get to the pictures! CoconutCoconut when I first saw this I thought it was going to be my favorite of the quad, and it's actually my least favorite. It's not a bad polish, but I like another one better. It's an off white, cream crelly type polish with a lot of gold shimmer. It's beautiful in the bottle. It took 3 coats to get completely opaque on the nail, which is fine, and the formula is good. It didn't want to run or pool on my nail. The formula is on the thicker side (which I also don't mind) but if you're not careful, it can go on the nail uneven. The gold shimmer is very strong is this polish and definitely looks like clean sand at a beach. Maybe it was my nails not happy with me and making the polish uneven, who knows. Like I said, it's not a bad polish, I just like others in the collection better. Trade WindsHere is Trade Winds which is based off of water. It's very pretty, I like the flakies that are in here, they're an iridescent teal or light green and something flashy in the polish. However, the scent is potent! This is one of those blue polishes were the pigment is super strong. I suggest opening a window or a fan... None the less, it's still gorgeous despite the strong scent. I can tolerate it, but I wanted to warn you. It took 3 coats to be opaque for me. Great formula, not as thick as coconut, but not thin either. I love how the flakies are and how much they stand out and shine on the nail. No staining on my nail with this. Black CoveThis is a black jelly polish with a ton of silver holographic flakies. I reallllllly like this polish a lot. It's not my favorite one, but it's my second favorite. It's based off of black sand that Jess had seen in Maui. In Jess' video she says in direct sunlight 2 coats wasn't opaque on the nail, but not in sunlight 2 was enough. I did 2 and was fine with it. It's not like the polish is completely sheer on the nail in sunlight in 2 coats, it's just not as dark as it is in the bottle. I'm not picky and not a fan of black polishes in general, so 2 coats was perfect for me. No staining for me either. In 2 coats, it looks opaque to me. Looks like the night sky. VolcanicLastly, and you guessed it, my favorite!! This is a brick red crelly base polish with the gold shimmer that was in coconut. It's similar formula to coconut but a tad thinner. I LOVE THIS. This is also based off of sand. This went on soooo smooth and in 2 coats. It's such an unusual shade of red, not a blue toned or orange toned red. I guess I couldn't be bothered to paint my thumbs in the last 2 polishes. I loveeee how the gold shimmer stands out in the background. No staining with this either! All in all, I really enjoyed this collection. Thanks for sticking around, happy polishing and I'll see ya in my next post!
Links to products mentioned: www.ninezerolacquer.bigcartel.com Today I have the Philly Loves Lacquer summer collection, Bright Stuff Baby. Bright Neon Holographic polishes! For my pictures I did NOT use a white undie. Just a base coat (Sweet and Sour Lacquer Smoothing Sauce). These came out a while ago, but I already bought a couple of neon collections and didn't want to buy any more. For some reason I kept thinking about them and then they went on sale and there were mini's! I was sold. The holo is more apparent in the bottle, but it still shows up on the nail. The lighter shades like the yellow are a bit harder to see in camera and on the nail. I did not encounter ANY staining on my nails, skin or cuticles with these. Very easy to remove with a cotton ball and non acetone remover. Without further adu <is that how you spell that? Lol> here's the collection. Hip Hop MarmaladeHere's the neon pink in the collection. I love these types of neon pink, that lean a bit more lighter and coral than the other one in this collection which leans more purple. I really like this collection a lot. They were very easy to use. I was worried about being a mini if I would be able to control the polish and the brush. Very easy to use! They go on super smooth. If you're not careful, you can flood your cuticles, not that I did that or anything...haha, but yes, super smooth and easy to apply. I did 2 coats in my swatch. We've Got It Glowin' OnI am REALLY digging orange polishes lately, especially orange neons. I wore Colores De Carol- Summer Means New Love and I was in love! This is such a bright neon orange I love it! I was told it makes it look like I have a tan on haha. I'll take that compliment! I think Esther really nailed this collection with it's colors. This is a great shade of orange! In my swatch, I did 2 coats. Sunshine After The RainThis song was stuck in my head for 2 days when I had this polish on. I love that this isn't a highlighter yellow, or a yellow-green yellow neon color. A sunshine yellow color. So bright and pretty! In my swatch I used 3 coats to make it bright and opaque. The first coat was a tad too streaky and sheer for me. This was the only bottle that didn't come with the brand label. Whoopsie. It's ok, I don't plan on getting rid of these polishes at all! Oh yikes! I didn't realize my pictures were so out of focus! That's how bright these babies are! This Lime AroundThis one is my favorite! I love greens! This is the only one I wore for a few days before taking it off. This is the only other polish where I thought 3 coats was best. I felt it was too streaky and sheer like the yellow to be left at 2 coats. 3 I felt also brought out the color more. This was hard to capture the holo on camera. Sigh. Blue Kids On The BlockHello 90's! You can't not get excited...New Kids On The Block...Blue Kids On The Block...yes yes. This one was also a little bit harder to capture the true color on camera. I'm still learning how to use that thing. Pinking Of YouYou made it to the end! Yay! *High Five* This says pink in the label, but honestly this is more purple to me...and I'm hoping that's what is, other wise, why have 2 pinks?? Dang, I really need to start wearing my glasses, I thought that last bottle shot was ok, clearly out of focus. Nuts. Here's my swatch of the final shade! 2 coats. Well that's all she wrote folks! I hope you enjoyed this, or at least enjoyed scrolling through the pictures. No harm done, I completely understand. I have low patience as well. Anyways, Happy polishing and I'll see ya in my next post!
Links to products mentioned: www.phillyloveslacquer.com www.sweetandsourlacquer.com I'm apart of the Saucy Lacquer Lovers on Facebook. The fan group for Sweet and Sour Lacquer. Wendy (@stuckonlacquer) was just made an admin of the group and is hosting a 4th of July mani contest. Here is my entry. Extra entry if you use your cindy hand. www.facebook.com/groups/939558169465293/ There's the link if you would like to join as well! Again, here is my entry for the contest. I used Sweet and Sour Lacquer polishes, the glitter stars are the Holo 'Bout That Base trio, Ring finger is an LE Land of the Free and the stars on my pinky are Camo Stars from Toadarrific Vinyls as well as a star vinyl for the index and middle fingers. I wanted to steer away from the traditional "Stars and Stripes" mani's that I know I'll be seeing a lot of this time of year. Which, don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with them, I just wanted to do something different from that. With my brother in law being in the Army, I will always associate the military and America. I wanted to represent that aspect in the mani by using the Camo Stars. I had a problem with getting them to stay on my pinky. Right now I lost both stars...whoops, but the thought was there haha.
I don't really have much more to say, I had fun trying to think about what I wanted to create and to have a prompt for making a mani. Sometimes I get creator's block (is that a real term? It is now) and it's nice to a little push to get the creative juices flowing. Happy polishing and I'll see ya in my next post!
