First Vox Box from Influenster!
So after watching hundreds of You Tube Videos, I kept hearing the name Influenster over and over again and decided to finally see what all the buzz was about. Basically Influenster is a company that will send you products for free (if chosen) for your honest review via, blog post, video or however else you get your word out. You sign up on their site or app and answer some questions (totally free). Every so often you'll receive an email from Influenster saying that you in the running for a Vox Box (the box of free product/s). You answer a few survey questions and depending on your answers you may or may not be chosen for that particular box. That doesn't mean that you gave a "wrong" answer, but maybe your needs wouldn't be met by that particular product/s. So after a few "failed" attempts at a Vox Box, I was finally chosen to review the L'Oreal Elvive Hair Oil.
I want to disclose that I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. Again, I received this for FREE for my honest review.
Here's a picture of the product I received.

Background on my hair- Almost down to my butt, damaged from several previous years of hair dying and chlorine from being a swimmer, thin-but a lot of it, frizzy, wavy/curly brunette hair.
L'Oreal Elvive Hair Oil is a versatile oil that can be used in several ways:
*Before shampoo for nourishment
*Before styling to control hair
*To polish strands for no frizz and to tame flyaways
*As a lightweight finishing polish for silky softness and shine
Directions for Use: Rub 2 drops between the palms of your hands. Apply evenly throughout the lengths and ends on dry or wet hair.
*****Taken Directly from the postcard provided in the Vox Box****
The ways I used the product was after my shower, I would put a few pumps (I have extremely long hair and 2 pumps would not suffice my length) through my hair, brush and let it air dry. I have also used it on my DRY hair to help tame flyaways and frizz.
Review: The oil is a lot thicker than I was anticipating (not THICK, but on the thicker side), but I thoroughly enjoyed that. I felt that it worked in my hair better than a thinner oil. The scent is very pleasant, very fresh and floral but not extremely fake smelling or over powering. It was very nice. I loved how my hair looked after using the oil after my shower. It enhanced the waves and curls of my natural hair. More than any other product I have ever used. I thought that was super cool! The oil did NOT leave my hands feeling greasy and I felt that my hair really drank it up. I wish it had tamed my frizz more, but again, I was surprised with how it enhanced my natural waves and curls! It did not leave my hair as soft as I would have liked, but I think my hair is too dry and is hopeless.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised with how well a drugstore brand hair product worked for my hair. I'm still on the hunt for a good oil/hair product that will tame the frizz and create softness, but I'm very happy with the L'Oreal Elvive Hair Oil for now :)
Thank you L'Oreal and Influenster for choosing me for this Vox Box, I look forward to future ones!
Happy "polishing" and I'll see ya in my next post!
