I'm apart of the Saucy Lacquer Lovers on Facebook. The fan group for Sweet and Sour Lacquer. Wendy (@stuckonlacquer) was just made an admin of the group and is hosting a 4th of July mani contest. Here is my entry. Extra entry if you use your cindy hand. www.facebook.com/groups/939558169465293/ There's the link if you would like to join as well! Again, here is my entry for the contest.
I used Sweet and Sour Lacquer polishes, the glitter stars are the Holo 'Bout That Base trio, Ring finger is an LE Land of the Free and the stars on my pinky are Camo Stars from Toadarrific Vinyls as well as a star vinyl for the index and middle fingers. I wanted to steer away from the traditional "Stars and Stripes" mani's that I know I'll be seeing a lot of this time of year. Which, don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with them, I just wanted to do something different from that. With my brother in law being in the Army, I will always associate the military and America. I wanted to represent that aspect in the mani by using the Camo Stars. I had a problem with getting them to stay on my pinky. Right now I lost both stars...whoops, but the thought was there haha.
I don't really have much more to say, I had fun trying to think about what I wanted to create and to have a prompt for making a mani. Sometimes I get creator's block (is that a real term? It is now) and it's nice to a little push to get the creative juices flowing. Happy polishing and I'll see ya in my next post!
